Taxpayers will be hosting and participating in several local events
throughout the year.

14th, 2008 – ADT Meeting: We will be continuing the discussion on elderly exemptions. The ADT has done
extensive research and proved that keeping the elderly in their homes keeps
the homes tax positive, which is a great start to help Most folks think that exit 4A is dead, since it
was cut from the 10-year highway plan by the Governor. That is not the case, as the majority of
the Town Council is trying to continue to pursue funding avenues. You can tell the Council your opinion at
the polls on March 11th, where there will be a non-binding
question. Do you think you are unfairly assessed compared to your neighbors? Do you want to file an abatement, but don’t know where to start? Come down to the meeting. We can show you how to research and file your abatement. We have 2 long-time members running for Town Council. Doug Newell is running for Councilor of District 3. Tom Cardon is running for the At-Large seat. The ADT cannot directly support political candidates, so the group “Friends of Derry Taxpayers” has been created.
